FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

MEALS:

For all-day camps, participant will be given a one hour break for lunch. Parents may pick their child up or send them with a packed lunch. Camp coaches can also accompany campers to on-campus dining. Choices include Subway, Taco Taco, Panda Express, Chick-fil-A, Mooyah, Papa John’s, Sushic, Smoothie King and Starbucks.

For Overnight Elite Camp, all meals will be provided at either the dining hall or catered on campus. Visit the Overnight Elite Camp page for more information.

 

 

 

EQUIPMENT & CLOTHING:

Participants must wear athletic attire and shoes for all sessions. Kneepads, towel, water bottle, and any other personal braces and equipment are recommended.

FACILITIES:

The UTSA Volleyball Camps will be conducted in the Convocation Center on the main campus located at Loop 1604.

TRAINER:

Medical training staff will be available throughout camps.

REFUND POLICY:

No refunds within seven days of the start of each camp. A $25 processing fee will be retained for ALL refunds. Contact laura.groff@utsa.edu. with any questions.

DOES MY ATHLETE NEED SPENDING MONEY?

Day Campers that do not bring a lunch will need money to purchase lunch on campus. Additionally, we will be offering a camp store where campers can purchase water, Gatorade, snacks, and UTSA items (while available). Camp store only accepts cash.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE POSITION SPECIFIC CLINICS FROM PREVIOUS YEARS?

In an effort to provide more opportunities to learn in game like situations we have replaced our position specifics clinics with the one-day Offense Camp and one-day Defense Camp. Both of these camps will be run similar to the previous positions specific camps but will allow athletes to apply new skills in team play
